Therapist Spotlight: Meet Braquelle

This week's spotlight is on Braquelle Murphy, LGPC. Watch Braquelle answer some questions about her experience, treatment philosophy, and shared a bit about herself as a therapist. Then read a bit more about her below.


Braquelle and Harlem

Within her counseling sessions, Braquelle likes to create a warm, inviting, and safe environment for her patients. Braquelle is passionate about working with active-duty service members, their families, and veterans. She also is passionate about working with patients who struggle with various types of trauma and helping couples foster healthy communication patterns and healthier relationships overall. She most often utilizes integrated approaches to therapy, pulling from techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Braquelle completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Towson University. She earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University where she specialized in working with military members, their families, and veterans. Braquelle has completed additional training in Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy, EMDR, the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed care. Braquelle is currently certified as a Trauma Services Specialist (CTSS) with the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. In her free time, Braquelle likes to thrift shop, decorate, spend time with her two Rotties, and go to the gym.
