Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

AMFT#135289

Life is hard. These last few years have been especially challenging, between Covid, police brutality, inflation, the political divide, systemic oppression, and the minority stress that marginalized communities face everyday. Maybe you are feeling sad, depressed, anxious, or just not yourself? Maybe you and your partner are having more conflict than normal? Are you struggling with your own identity? You are not alone. It’s okay to not be okay. There is no shame in reaching out for help. We will work together to achieve your therapy goals. We will work towards you finding self love and inner peace.

I specialize in working with women and couples. My focus is on empowerment, strength, and enlightenment. I practice Solution Focused therapy, influenced by post-modern feminist therapy,  LGBT+ Affirmative therapy, Intersectional, and social justice frameworks. My approach is rooted in all the intersections of my own identity as a Black lesbian woman and United States Army Veteran.

I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in LGBT Affirmative Therapy from Antioch University Los Angeles. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Minor in Human Sexuality, Minor in Queer Studies from California State University, Northridge. I have been an avid volunteer at the Los Angeles LGBT Center for over 4 years.

I look forward to embarking on the journey with you.
